Submit Your Materials for New Park Display
Architectural historian company Page & Turnbull and the Recreation and Parks Department are creating displays for the new India Basin Park and the Shipwright’s Cottage. One panel and a slide show will feature activities of the 1990s and 2000 and they’ve asked for the IBNA community to help. They seek any photos, videos, and memorabilia of advocacy efforts, events, parties, and family gatherings around India Basin Shoreline Park, India Basin Open Space, and the 900 Innes historic boatyard.
They are trying to assemble materials to incorporate into the interpretive panels (just a few images) and the video (more photos, and materials). Please upload things that you would be comfortable seeing reproduced in these ways. P & T will verify the materials that do end up being used, so you will have a second chance to verify any details and approve their use. Submit by June 30, 2023.

In October 1998 IBNA submitted the India Basin Dream Park Plan that proposed a series of parks along our waterfront. At the time there were none.
Today India Basin is circled by a necklace of open space jewels. While some parks are open now, several more are in the planning and construction phases. When all these parks are completed and linked via the Bay Trail, Blue Greenway, and a Class 1 bike path, India Basin will be one of the most accessible waterfronts anywhere in California.
