ITEM 1. 9:00     BOARD CHECK IN

  • Board Member Check-in / Announcements
    • Shipyard Open Studios are happening the weekend of September 25
  • Review / Approve Minutes August 2020
    • Approved, all in favor

ITEM 2. 9:20     IBNA MANAGEMENT

  • Election of Board Officers
    • Motion: Vote on new Chair of the board (David)
      • 2 Yes, 2 No; a tie, motion not approved
    • Motion: move the Chair election until the next AGM meeting
      • 6 Yes, 0 No; motion approved
  • Creating a “lead” for each project
    • BOD agreed

ITEM 3. 9:30     IBNA COMMUNICATION

  • General Parameters of Communicating
    • Agreed to send a monthly newsletter to IBNA mailing list with MailChimp
    • Also, agreed to send alerts to the mailing list as well as needed
  • Methods:
    • IBNA Communication” project is created to focus on channels to better communicate India Basin and IBNA news
    • Channels to include:
      • Website
      • MailChimp newsletter
      • Facebook group
      • Nextdoor announcement
      • Zoom / Virtual meetings
      • Postal mailing
    • Agreed to phase out older Google group india-basin-sf list in favor of MailChimp mailing list

ITEM 4. 10:00   CURRENT PROJECTS STATUS

  • NEW PROJECT: IBNA Communication
    • Lead: Jill and Max
    • Members:
    • Goals:
      • IBNA to become the authoritative source of information about India Basin neighborhood
      • Consolidate and improve our Website, Social Media presence, Email communication (MailChimp), NextDoor channels
  • NEW PROJECT: Membership Drive
    • Lead: David
    • Members: Sean, Richard
    • Goals:
      • increase IBNA membership and recruit new board members.
      • Review new methods of engagement
  • Adopt-a-Street / Beautification (David / Max / Sean)
    • David will do social media blast, email and will get the Shipyard involved
    • Has tools for 30 people from DPW
    • Proposal to add weed removal and possibly graffiti as well
  • Rescue SF (Sean)
    • Sup. Walton canceled his attendance for the October event
    • Will create video/promo to describe the work of RescueSF
    • “SF Works for Everyone” is a new group with a similar focus
  • IBIP art sign (Sean / Jill)
    • Interviewed Michael Manwaring
    • Sean is writing an article about the history sign
  • 900 Innes Park (Jill)
    • Multiple meetings Jill attended to explain the historical importance
    • They will have a survey for the outreach and an opportunity for community feedback
    • Jill reached out to Save the Bay

ITEM 5. 10:30   QUICK BUILD TRAFFIC CALMING

  • SFMTA mailed a postcard to residents about the project
  • Already received 70 responses through the website
  • Timeline for implementation is early Winter

COMMUNITY CONVERSATION

  • Reviewed SFMTA options
  • Discussed Pros and Cons of each
  • IBNA Recommendation for SFMTA:
    • Evans Ave:
      • Option 1 with the following addition
      • 2-way bike lane on the hillside protected by K blocks (no bike lane on Bayside)
    • Innes Ave:
      • Need to protect bike lanes with a parking lane
      • Sidewalk, Bike Lane, Bike Lane, Parking, Traffic Lane, Middle/Turn Lane, Traffic Lane, Parking, Sidewalk
    • Hawes Triangle:
      • Add a crosswalk Hudson to Yellow Triangle
      • Bike lane follows Hawes and then right angle left turn on Innes to improve safety (no bike lane along Hunters Point Blvd by the triangle, too dangerous)
