BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING AGENDA

    • A new development on 11 Innes Ct, Block 56 in the Shipyard for low-income housing. A meeting on Monday Richard will attend
  • Review / Approve Minutes February 2021
    • Approved with 2 modifications from Jill

ITEM 2. 9:15     IBNA MANAGEMENT

  • AGM Debrief
    • AI: Jill will send the slides out, Max will post them online, and will be included in the newsletter
    • Went well and was well organized, the timeline of all projects was useful and well-received
  • Epic Challenge
  • Vision Zero Strategy Support
    • IBNA supports Vision Zero. They’ll send us a survey, and we can propose Innes to be added
  • New officer election
    • Vote on Michael continue as IBNA Treasures, 5 in favor, 0 against
    • Vote on Richard to continue as IBNA Membership liaison; 5 in favor, 0 against
    • Vote on Max to continue as IBNA Secretary; 5 in favor, 0 against
    • Vote on David to continue as IBNA Chair; 4 in favor, 0 against, 1 abstained
  • Board election mailing process: who’s doing it?
    • AI: Richard will review and refresh IBNA membership list on Google Drive
    • Motion to do board election mailing electronically, no physical mail. Richard makes the motion; 5 in favor, 0 against.
    • AI: separate email, Jill, David, Richard and Max

ITEM 3. 9:45     MISSION

Discuss, edit as needed, and possible vote on new mission statement:

“The IBNA Mission is to advocate for the needs of people living, working, and playing in India Basin while preserving its natural beauty, history and diversity.”

ITEM 4. 10:00   CURRENT PROJECTS STATUS

  • Adopt-a-Street / Beautification (David / Max)
    • Budget for $2400 Beautification Action donation
    • $1,800 (Café Alma – $150 x 12)
    • $   100 mailing / promo cards
    • $   200 banners?
    • $   200 gloves? vests?
    • $   100 paint? seeds?
    • AI: David/Jill/Max will meet and decide on a specific breakdown and budget. Friday morning tentatively.
    • AI: Finalize the name/branding
    • AI: Max to add David’s 311 tutorial
    • Is there a value for the “community vision” update using the Innes beautification project? Feedback: major effort, need to have multiple parties involved not just IBNA, good idea to have a vision
  • Quick-build Traffic Calming / Mural Project (Sean)
    • “SFMTA Quick Build Project”, the announcement is tentatively scheduled for April 3rd. Sean will make a speech
    • AI: Sean will send more info to Jill
  • Bike Lanes
    • Michael gave an update
  • Rescue SF (Sean)
    • Working on a documentary for the homelessness
    • The presentation series is paused for now
  • IBIP art sign (Sean)
    • Very good news: Sean and Rec and Park discussed, and Rec and Park is in support to host the IBIP sign (probably in the India Basin Shoreline park), but it’ll need to be temporarily hosted for about a year somewhere else (Build?)
    • Discussions are underway with Five Points about moving the “ARTS” letter to the Shipyard Artists
  • 900 Innes Park (Jill)
    • Remediation is slated for Q2 of 2021 and is supposed to last for 3 months
    • Jill provided feedback to Rec and Park
    • Remediation will include replace the toxic mud and replacing it with new mud

ITEM 5. 10:30   NEW PROJECT IDEAS

  • Donahue Basketball Court
    • Getting more support from Jeda in Westbrook
  • Earl Street steps renovation
    • David will put together a plan, it’s a longer-term plan and is fairly complex involving multiple agencies
  • Art on stairs opposite 828 Innes
    • Make it part of the Beautification event, invite local children and decorate the steps and IBNA will provide chalk

ITEM 6. 10:50   COMMUNICATIONS

Goal is to distribute newsletter second week of the month

Facebook: 393 followers (up 18 from Feb)

Newsletter: 180 subscribers (up 16 from Feb)

  • What should we do with the banners?
    • We will take them down for now, and will decide on a new campaign later
