Members of the India Basin Neighborhood Association Board of Directors continue to advocate for our community, especially around upcoming developments. Keep checking the website as we regularly add images and information. Below are updates on two of the local projects we’re keeping tabs on:

UPDATE: Historic Boatyard Cleanup The contract for environmental cleanup of the future park is out to bid and the work will start soon. We appreciate that the Recreation and Park Department has addressed our list of questions about the impact of this remediation on the nearby neighbors. UPDATE: Block 1 Last week the preliminary design for Block 1, now called Palmilia By the Bay, was presented to the Shipyard CAC. This project proposes 224 residential units, 270 parking places, and 20,000 square feet of commercial. The IBNA Board will be meeting with the developers to discuss community concerns and will continue to update the neighbors on this project. Assessor Carmen Chu invites all San Franciscans to “Build Your Financial Resilience.” This free online forum will have customized content focused on helping families get back on their feet under the pandemic.  Learn about emergency loans, accessing retirement funds, and estate planning during these unsettling times.  The event is Saturday, July 18th at 10:00am-1:00pm.
