I hope you had a chance to come down to India Basin Shoreline Park to participate in Bay Day India Basin on October 12. Thanks to our event volunteers and the event partners IBNA, America True, Kayaks Unlimited, Recology, the Recreation and Parks Department, and CEMEX:
105 participants got onto the water
200 people enjoyed lunches
People got a new perspective on our community (from the water, from the climbing wall, from meeting each other)
Hundreds of books found new homes at the SFPL Bookmobile (and 11 neighbors have new library cards)
The city got lots of input about park planning
IBNA captured another 30+ names for our contact list, which we hope will expand neighborhood involvement
We believe it is the highest participation in this event in many years. I’d call the day a success. Please consider volunteering next year so the event can continue to grow.
