Annual General Meeting

March 7, 2015

 

  1. Call to order – Welcome members,guests, & introduce Board – Sue Ellen Smith

 

Capt. Robert O’Sullivan, Mawuli Tugbenyoh for Malia Cohen

 

  1. Recognition – Acknowledge & thank Forrest & Speakeasy for hosting AGM

 

  1. IBNA’s 2014 Accomplishments: by Sue Ellen Smith.
  2. 15th Annual Egg Hunt – great turnout w/ 50+ kids;
  3. IBNA hosted free kayaking day w/ America’s True w/ largest turnout ever;

help from Recology & Bay Kayakers, Bo Barnes,

  1. IBNA succeeded in having the City purchase 900 Innes for a waterfront park,

and now has 2 members on the Mayor’s Task Force for India Basin                                    Waterfront Parks Vision Plan.

  1. IBNA strengthened bonds w/ other neighborhood organizations, including

Better Bayview, BRITE, Eastern Waterfront Neighborhood Association,

Mendell Plaza, Dogpatch Neighborhood Ass’n,         and others.

being made & bike path should come soon!

  1.    Continue participation with Build Inc. as development plans move forward.

IBNA 3/7/2015

 

2:20-Updates:

-The Midway (the Marin St. project)  can contribute $200 to the IBNA easter egg hunt

-We need to reach out to stores to ask for donations for the egg hunt

-We need: Easter Baskets (100-150 baskets)

-Recology has been asked to donate hot dogs and chips

-The Fire engine will be coming

-Jill will be dressing up as a bunny

 

2:28-Financial Records

-5 in favor of this, none opposed

 

2:30-PG&E has a representative that would like to speak with us about the blue/green way and to exchange information and ideas

-Everyone at the meeting is in favor of having PG&E join us

-We would like for their representative to come for the May meeting

-5 in favor of this, none opposed

 

2:33-Northside Park Committee Meeting announement

-There is an update on Thursday night at the Shipyard units at 6:00

-They are supposed to be presenting all of the information on the future plans for the park

 

2:38-AGM Agenda

-Going over our plan for the AGM agenda notes and discussing details of the meeting

-We would like an additional goal of adding participation of the new shipyard residents

-We are adding a guy from NERT who would like to present at the AGM

 

2:53-The meeting ends due in lieu of AGM prep.
